Steel Wool is releasing the video game, Secret of the Mimic on June 13, 2025.
Secret of the Mimic will be available to play for the PS5, Steam, and Epic Games Store.
Secret of the Mimic is a prequel game of the video game franchise Five Nights at Freddy’s. It’s created by Steel Wool Studios, an indie game developer studio that created previous Five Nights at Freddy’s games including: Security Breach, RUIN, and Help Wanted 1 + 2.

Voice Actors for Secret of the Mimic
Steel Wool has announced seven voice actors that will voice characters in Secret of the Mimic. Their roles have yet to be announced.

The Mimic
The Mimic is an endoskeleton created by Edwin Murray that has the ability to mimic the actions of anything it sees. In the story, “The Mimic”, third story in the Tales of the Pizzaplex #6: Nexie, Edwin creates the Mimic to watch over his 4-year-old son, David.
In Secret of the Mimic, the Mimic is the main antagonist. According to Steel Wool Studios, “The Mimic, a prototype endoskeleton, can adapt to any costume and become any character, including what you fear most” (Steel Wool Studios).

Edwin Murray
Edwin Murray is the owner of Murray’s Costume Manor, the setting for the video game, FNAF: Secret of the Mimic. He created the Mimic, an advanced endoskeleton that serves as the main antagonist in FNAF: Secret of the Mimic.
In the video game, FNAF: Secret of the Mimic, Edwin Murray is described as a reclusive inventor that went missing. His owned Murray’s Costume Manor wher he tinkered away in his workshop.
Closing Thoughts…
Ever since FNAF: Secret of the Mimic was first announced I have been beyond stoked for its release! I’ve been a huge fan of Five Nights at Freddy’s ever since Middle School. It’s amazing to see this franchise still growing strong after 10 years.
FNAF: Secret of the Mimic is a prequel to all previous games, and I’m interested to see what secrets it will reveal! Will it uncover origins of Freddy Fazbear’s? What mysteries will we discover regarding the Mimic.
