I fell absolutely in love watching Rent-a-Girlfriend. It’s a hilarious rom-com anime about Kinoshita Kazuya, a college boy “renting” out a girlfriend, Mizuhara Chizuru after he got dumped by his actual girlfriend. Although, things don’t go as planned, which leads to a comical story about young love and aspirations. I was so happy to hear about season 4 being announced! Let the romantic chaos continue in the next season!

Season 4 of Rent-a-Girlfriend Is Confirmed
Rent-a-Girlfriend is confirmed to have a season 4.
In celebration of the Reiji Miyajima’s manga, “Rent-a-Girlfriend” having it’s 7-year-anniversary, the series released a key visual teaser to announce that season 4 of the anime was currently in production and will be released sometime in July 2025. Although only the first half of season 4 will be released, the release date of the second half of season 4 is yet to be announced.
The confirmation of the fourth season and the key visual were both announced on the official X account of Rent-a-Girlfriend. Also, it was confirmed that season 4 is expected to be around 24-26 episodes in length.
The key visual teaser for Rent-a-Girlfriend Season 4 showcases the series five main heroines together on a train station with luggage.

Kazuomi Koga, the director at TMS Entertainment who directed season 1 and 2, will be returning to direct the fourth season. The central staff and voice cast from seasons 1-3 are all confirmed to return for season 4.

Closing Thoughts…
The prior three seasons were filled with many romantic and comedic moments among the youthful characters. We got to see the relationship between Ichinose Chizuru and Kinoshita Kazuya become more romantic as these two characters grow closer to each other. Although, Kinoshita has his hands full with other romantic interests in the show. With a key visual teaser and a date for July 2025, I’m more than excited to see what’s in store for Rent-a-Girlfriend’s season 4!
