What is SAKAMOTO DAYS about?
Adapted from the hit manga written and illustrated by Yuto Suzuki, Sakamoto Days is an action packed comedy series featuring the retired, legendary ex-hitman, Toru Sakamoto teaming up with comrades to take down dangerous assassins that threaten his peaceful family life.
After falling in love, Sakamoto quickly retires from his dangerous assassin lifestyle to marry, have a daughter, and open up a mom-and-pops store in a quiet town. He’s become a full blown, big belly family man and he couldn’t be happier! That is until a figure from his past hitman days pays him a visit with a threatening offer: return to the assassin world or die!
Wanting to protect his beloved family from the dangerous threats of assassins, he teams up with fellow comrades to maintain peace in his family life.
Who is Taro Sakamoto?
Taro Sakamoto was once an ultimate hitman who was feared by villains and respected by hitmen alike. That all changed when he met Aoi, a convenience store clerk. It was love at first sight. Sakamoto soon retired from the hitman business.
Sakamoto marries Aoi and together they have a daughter named Hana. Together, Sakamoto and Aoi open up a mom-and-pops store in a quiet town. Now a legendary ex-hitman, Sakamoto has turned into a plus-sized family man.
Wanting to maintain his peaceful life with his cherished family, Sakamoto teams up with fellow comrades, Shin, Lu, and Heisuke, to protect his family against dangerous assassins.
When will SAKAMOTO DAYS be released?
Sakamoto Days premieres worldwide on Netflix on January 11, 2025. Watch Season 1 Part 1 airing with weekly new episodes every Saturday on Netflix after the first episode premieres. Season 1 Part 2 will debut sometime in July 2025.
