On December 7th, Dawko streamed his THANKMAS 2024 charity stream on Youtube. When he reached his charity goal, Dawko announced that he had a teaser from Steel Wools at the end of the stream. As promised, Dawko revealed the teaser; it was a FNAF: Help Wanted 2 Update with Tiger Rock and the Mimic making an appearance along with other secrets and LORE!
- Tiger Rock Plushie
- The Mimic
- The Puzzle: Gift Shop and Van
- Tales From the Pizzaplex #7: Tiger Rock and “The Mimic” story
Steel Wool’s Five Night’s at Freddy’s Help Wanted 2 has released an update regarding Tiger Rock and the Mimic. If these two characters sound familiar then it’s because they both made appearances in the Tales from the Pizzaplex stories; Tiger Rock appears in book #5 and book #7 and the Mimic appears in book #6.
Start of the Update
In order to unlock the update, you must have completed the entire game of Help Wanted 2 first. The update will then appear with Mystic Hippo saying:
Something has changed. The forgotten button has materialized here in my mystical booth. A gift awaits you in the distant past.
-Mystic Hippo, Help Wanted 2 Update

If you incorrectly select the wrong minigame to play, once you return back to the lobby Mystic Hippo will say:
A key piece of advice for your second night of work. Start with 1, stop. Add 8, stop. Take 2, stop. Return 2.
-Mystic Hippo, Help Wanted 2 Update
You, the player, must play the Sister Location, Office: Puppet Master mini game to proceed in the update.
TIGER ROCK PLUSHIE
To unlock the Tiger Rock plushie, you must select the Sister Location, Office: Puppet Master mini game. Once in the mini game, you’ll see a card photo of a jester animatronic, Jackie, laying on the desk. Jackie is the animatronic starring in the upcoming Steel Wool’s game, “Secret of the Mimic” that will be releasing in 2025. Jackie, is the mimic, wearing a jester costume.
If you pull open the top drawer of the desk, a numbered keypad will appear. The code you need to punch in is the answer to the riddle Mystic Hippo told you earlier, “Start with 1, stop. Add 8, stop. Take 2, stop. Return 2.“
The answer is: 1979.
This is the same year that was shown in “The Secret of the Mimic” teaser, hinting at possibly being the year the game takes place.
Punch 1979 into the keypad and a Tiger Rock plushie appears.
Upon re-entering the lobby, Mystic Hippo will say:
Something has changed. A hidden performer is ready to take a bow…
-Mystic Hippo, Help Wanted 2 Update
Head to the main stage of the pizzeria and you’ll spot the Tiger Rock plushie chillin right by the stage, sitting on the cart where you can select animatronics to appear on the stage.
This gives you a real first look at the Tiger Rock plushie, now that it’s completely visible in light. It’s a white tiger with one blue eye and one green eye, just like it’s counterpart in the Tales of the Pizzaplex #7: Tiger Rock.
Upon closer inspection, the plushie appears to be a miniature version of a costumed Tiger Rock (not animatronic) due to a zipper being found on the back of the plushie.
This creates speculation to whether Tiger Rock started out as a worn costume in the early days of FNAF, possibly in the era of Fall Fest and Secret of the Mimic. We already know there are previous costume animals as seen in RUIN. For now this remains a theory until proven otherwise.
THE MIMIC
Push on the arrow keys of the slideshow machine and stop when you reach the new animatronic, the Mimic. Click on the large rectangle button and the Mimic will appear on stage in it’s costume it wears at the secret ending of FNAF: RUIN.

Upon appearing on stage, Mystic Hippo will say:
A poor performer must be spry,
-Mystic Hippo, Help Wanted 2 Update
tomatoes are in short supply.
We toss whatever me be by.
A solid hit will make one cry.
You must then pick up the ball gun, that’s on a purple table and stand in front of the Mimic on stage. Shoot the ball gun at the Mimic and the doors to the left of Mystic Hippo open into darkness.
THE PUZZLE: Gift Shop and Van
Enter through the opened doors and you’ll be greeted to a dark room with 70’s patterned carpet, the same from the “Secret of the Mimic” teaser. This leads to a small table with an intricate designed blue and gold box with a red bow on top and a hand crank lever on the front side of the box. This is Jackie’s box from the “Secret of the Mimic” teaser.

Once you crank the lever, a song plays and the box opens.
The screen cuts straight to black.
Jackie, the clown animatronic appearing in “Secret of the Mimic” says:
Time to play!
-Jackie
According to people who have played the demo of the “Secret of the Mimic” at PAX, claim that this is a voice line of Jackie’s.
The table reappears with a blank jigsaw puzzle along with a singular jigsaw puzzle piece laying next to it.
You, the player must then go through the pizzeria area and all of the minigames in order to collect the remaining pieces and complete the jigsaw puzzle.
Here is a guide to the location of all the puzzle pieces:
- On the coin dispenser next to ruined Candy Cadet
- On a red destroyed arcade machine in the pizzeria
- On the bottom shelf of arts and crafts
- On the left side of the desk in Endo Warehouse
- Under the flashlight in Bonny Bowl
- On the left side of the controls in Breaker Room Funtime Freddy
- Behind the last clipboard of the hard mode of Carousel
- Under the battery in Ruined DJ Musicman
- On a table leg, underneath where the table where fazer blast gun is placed, in Fazer Blast Western
- Behind the red soda can, Sodaroni, in Fizzy Faz Night 4
- Behind the spray bottles in First Aid Lefty
Once you’ve collected all of the puzzle pieces, place them inside the blank puzzle.
If you take off your Vanny Mask while completing the puzzle you’ll notice that the jigsaw puzzle has two different images depending if you’re wearing the mask or not.
Puzzle with the mask on: Whimsical gift shop building with skyscrapers in the background.
Puzzle without the mask on: a blue and white van against a yellow stripped background.
Once you’ve completed the puzzle, depending on whether or not you’re wearing the Vanny mask, the image of the puzzle appears as a set piece in the darkness of the room before you.
When wearing the mask:
A large whimsical building with a triangle-angled roof will appear. It’s cast in purple and pink lighting. The building has multiple signs on the front side displaying in neon words: Masks, Gifts, Here. This implies that this building is a gift shop.
On closer inspection, there’s a mailbox in front of the colorful building with the numbers, 4625, shown. This is a code that will be used for the van. These numbers also could be a teaser for the release date of Steel Wool’s upcoming game, “Secret of the Mimic”, April 6th 2025. Until it’s officially confirmed, it remans in speculation.
The center window has a stained glass mural of a blue Bonnie with a blue moon and Golden/Yellow Fred Bear with a yellow sun in the sky with a traveling wagon down below on the ground. It’s theorized by RyeToast, a FNAF Youtuber, to be some sort of traveling show.
What’s interesting is that Bonnie, not Spring Bonnie, is paired up with Fred Bear and that there’s a sun and moon paired up with them. Does this mean in the early days of Five Nights at Freddy’s there was a traveling show with Bonnie and Fred Bear? For now this remains a theory.
When NOT wearing the mask:
A blue and white van is parked in the darkness. The back doors open up revealing the M.X.E.S inside of the van.
The M.X.E.S. is an AI machine designed to keep the Mimic contained. It appears in Steel Wool’s FNAF: Security Breach: Ruin during the ending portion of the game. It contains a digital rabbit.
Moving closer to the M.X.E.S, a numbered pin pad is shown. This is where you input the code from the mailbox: 4625.
Once the code is entered, the digital rabbit (the entity of M.X.E.S.) appears, attempting to climb out, but it gets sucked back into M.X.E.S. before it can attack you. The back doors slam shut, the engine turns on, and the van speeds off into the darkness.
The ending credits roll. The update is now over.
TALES FROM THE PIZZAPLEX: TIGER ROCK AND THE MIMIC
Tiger Rock
Tiger Rock first appears in Tales of the Pizzaplex #5: The Bobbiedots Conclusion in the story, “The Storyteller” and later appears in “Tiger Rock”, the first story in the Tales of the Pizzaplex #7: Tiger Rock novel, written by Andrea Waggener. Tiger Rock is described as a white tiger animatronic with one green eye and one blue eye that first appears inside the Storyteller tree and later appears in an AR booth in the Pizzaplex.

Tiger Rock also appears in the story Mimic, as David Murray’s favorite plush toy. This connects back to the update, as Tiger Rock appears as a plush toy that we collect.
The Mimic
“The Mimic” is the third story in the Tales of the Pizzaplex #6: Nexie novel, written by Andrea Waggener. The Mimic is an endoskeleton animatronic that has the ability to “mimic” the actions of anything it sees. The Mimic was created by Edwin Murray to watch over his 4-year-old son, David.

As a result, Edwin would be able to focus on his work for Fazbear Entertainment, attaching endoskeletons to costumes that the company provides. Unfortunately, one day David chases after his ball outside the factory and gets hit by a white van (due to there being a four lane highway outside the factory).
Mourning his son, Edwin attacks the Mimic (who was mimicking David’s hand gestures for icecream). As a result of Edwin’s rage, once the Mimic was fixed up, it mimicked his angry behavior and brutally attacked and killed Fazbear employees when they went to retrieve it.
Closing Thoughts…
The Help Wanted 2 Update was an exciting, unexpected reveal! It’s crazy to think Tiger Rock and Edwin Murray are now canon in the game’s timeline now along with the Mimic! This has stirred up talk amongst FNAF fans, who are left puzzling what this could mean for the upcoming Steel Wool game, “Secret of the Mimic”. This also begs the question, does this mean all Tales of the Pizzaplex stories are now canon or just the stories involving Edwin Murray, Tiger Rock, and the Mimic? For now it remains a theory until we get more confirmation.
Happy Holidays everyone!
